Concrete Supports in Times of Need is when families get assistance to meet basic needs.

Concrete supports are when families have access to resources that address their basic needs and minimize stress caused by challenges. It is also understanding the importance of asking for help and advocating for oneself; receiving quality services designed to preserve one’s dignity, providing opportunities for skill development and promoting healthy development using a strengths-based and trauma-informed practices approach.

Teach advocacy by…

  • Knowing what you need and want.

  • Having the skills to speak up for yourself.

  • Having ownership and control over the decisions in your life.
