Social Connections are when families have friends they can count on.

 

Social Connections are having positive relationships that provide emotional, informational and spiritual support.  Individuals feel confident and secure they have others to share the joy, pain and uncertainties that come with the caregiving role.

What do Social Connections look like?

  • Maintaining multiple friendships and supportive relationships with others.

  • Feeling respected and appreciated in their role as parent or primary caregiver.

  • Accepting help from others and giving help to others.

  • Establishing connections and a sense of belonging with other families and caregivers.
